“Compulsory Basic Training” is the first step towards getting your full bike licence. Everyone who wants to ride a moped or motorbike on the road must complete this day’s training. You will need a provisional licence before you can take your C.B.T. There are 5 elements that are covered in the day:
1. Safety Equipment
2. Introduction to the motorcycle and its controls
3. Riding the bike (on site)
4. Pre road briefing and safety talk
5. On road training and assessment (min 2 hours)
On completion of your C.B.T. you will, at the age of 16, be able to ride a 50cc bike on the road with ‘L’ Plates. If you are 17 or older you will be able to ride up to a 125cc motorbike with ‘L’ Plates fitted.
